Bepanthen® - Ointment
COMPOSITION 1 g of ointment contains 50mg of the active substance dexpanthenol. Excipients: Cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, white beeswax, wool fat, white soft paraffin, refined almond oil, liquid paraffin, protegin X and purified water. INDICATIONS In baby care, for treating and preventing nappy rash, soreness, skin redness, and for protection against wet Nappies , for care of the breasts while breastfeeding and for treating sore nipples, For the prevention and treatment of sore and chapped skin, For dry skin CONTRAINDICATIONS If you are allergic to one or more of the ingredients, you must not take Bepanthen ointment WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS No special precautions are required provided it is used for the directed purpose. Bepanthen® Moisturizing cream
COMPOSITION 1 g of cream contains 50 mg of the active substance dexpanthenol. The other ingredients are: phenoxyethanol (Ph. Eur.), (3R)-3-hydroxy-4,4-dimethyloxolan-2-one, hexadecyldihydrogenphosphate, potassium salt, lanolin, propylene glycol, cetylalcohol (Ph.Eur.), stearyl alcohol (Ph. Eur.), hexadecan-1-ol,purified water. INDICATIONS Bepanthen Cream contains the active ingredient dexpanthenol in a highly absorbent , slightly fatty emulsion. The active substance dexpanthenol is converted in the skin into the vitamin pantothenic acid and supports the development and regeneration of the skin from within. The cream has a soothing and cooling effect thanks to its high moisture content. Bepanthen Cream is used for treating overstressed and irritated but intact skin associated with: Redness and sunburn, Pressure marks, Mild burns, Rough areas of skin (e.g. on the hands, elbows or feet) CONTRAINDICATIONS You should not use Bepanthen Cream if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to one or more of the ingredients in the product WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS No special precautions are required provided that the product is used as directed. Bepanthen® Plus
COMPOSITION : Each gram of Bepanthen Plus Cream contains 50 mg Dexpanthenol and 5 mg chlorhexidine- dihydrochloride. INDICATIONS: Use Bepanthen Plus for the following: any type of minor wound at risk of infection, including abrasions, small cuts and scratches, fissures, mild burns, sores, infected skin irritations, cracked nipples during breast feeding, on medical prescription only: chronic wounds such as leg ulcers, decubitus ulcers
(pressure sores) and operation wounds. CONTRAINDICATIONS: You should not use Bepanthen Plus any longer if an allergic reaction occurs. Do not use Bepanthen Plus in the ear if your eardrum is damaged. Bepanthen Plus should not be used on serious, deep or highly contaminated wounds. Such wounds require medical attention. WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS: Large, severely contaminated or deep wounds and bites and stings require proper medical treatment (risk of tetanus). A doctor should also be consulted if the wound fails to decrease in size over time or has not healed over after 10–14 days. The same applies if the wound margins are very inflamed, the wound suddenly enlarges, is very painful or is accompanied by fever (risk of septicemia).If the skin is not broken but simply irritated (sunburn, tender areas, inflamed skin areas), the risk of infection is negligible. In such cases, instead of the antiseptic Bepanthen Plus, you should apply the cooling Bepanthen Cream which contains no antiseptic. Do not allow Bepanthen Plus to come into contact with the eyes. Bepanthen Plus should not be ingested. Seek medical advice if fairly large quantities are swallowed inadvertently. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are suffering from any other illness, have any allergies, are taking or applying any other medication (including non-prescription products). Although Bepanthen Plus may be used during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding, you should not apply it over a large surface area. SIDE EFFECTS: In rare cases, allergic skin reactions and a burning sensation may occur after application of the preparation.
